... is focused on the government of a small city in Southern California, with these local issues written to touch on the dynamics that are driving the searing issues of our day. As we pass the first eighth of the 21st century, we are truly in the world of science fiction of my own childhood; yet with this transformation we have descended into divisiveness that reaches homicidal, even genocidal hatred at home and abroad.

Exploring details of city government that illustrate these larger issues is a challenge that remains to be seen whether will be achieved. Comments are welcomed that advance the conversation from those who choose to be identified.
